Riversdale Irises is a family-owned nursery operated by Tim and Maria Rosa Taylor, specialising in high-quality bearded irises for gardeners, collectors, landscapers and designers.

We offer an extensive range of potted and bare-rooted bearded irises, including dwarf, intermediate and tall bearded varieties, carefully selected to bring colour, structure and elegance to Australian gardens. Riversdale Irises is Biosecurity Accredited to issue Plant Health Certificates, allowing us to send iris rhizomes to all states across Australia.

Based in Albury Wodonga, Riversdale Irises takes pride in professionally growing and cultivating premium plants. Our irises are produced by qualified horticulturists and nurserymen who are committed to achieving the best possible results for every customer. Tim - Timothy John Taylor is the winner of the 2025 Dykes Medal for his Tall Bearded Iris registration, Karen Joy Cofield. The Dykes Medal is the highest honour an iris can receive and is awarded by the British Iris Society to the best iris hybridised in Australia. To be eligible, an iris must first succeed in a regional trial garden, with only the finest varieties progressing to consideration for this prestigious award.

At Riversdale Irises, we are passionate about gardening and enjoy sharing our knowledge with customers. We also supply commercial quantities of selected varieties for landscape architects and garden designers, along with expert advice on choosing irises suited to specific projects. With more than 1500 varieties grown and around 150–200 available through our online store, we offer options for borders, rockeries, underplanting and iris feature garden beds. Riverina Iris Farm offer Tall Bearded Iris and Dwarf and Median Bearded Iris and Daylilies from our collection of around 1500 varieties.

Our iris garden was started in 2013 and each year we have added new beds and varieties. There are limited numbers of each, however we will do our best to supply your order or substitute from your wish list.
Our online shop has three main groups - Tall Bearded Iris and Median and Dwarf Iris and Daylilies with a small collection of Water Iris and Cannas. Riverina Iris Farm is on the edge of Wagga Wagga and was inspired by my Mother Mary's love of irises and it is with great pleasure we share these wonderful hardy plants with keen gardeners all over Australia, particularly those within the southern inland of NSW.

Purchased from Mandy and Margie in 2025, the nursery has moved west onto the banks of the Lachlan River. Sunshine Iris Nursery has become Sunshine Iris and Daylily Nursery.

Erin is already home to many beautiful Irises in the homestead garden established by my mother-in-law Sonia Woods. Sonia introduced me to how beautiful an Iris can be! They have thrived in our environment which at times can be harsh, like most of Australia.

The resilience of the plants through drought and even flood have inspired me and grown my love for gardening. I am looking forward to this venture and planning on introducing many more irises and daylilies in the years to come.
